She specialises in designing government services and driving social impact through human-centred design. Her work focuses on empowering public servants and collaborating with charity organisations, including UNICEF Ukraine and Come Back Alive, Ukraine’s largest fund supporting the military, to create meaningful, user-centred solutions.
Living and working in Ukraine during the war has deeply shaped Liza’s perspective. It has reinforced her commitment to using Service Design as a tool to rebuild systems that are transparent, empathetic, and effective. Her strategic goal is to help institutionalise human-centred design in government services and contribute to improving the quality of life in Ukraine.
Liza holds a Master’s degree in Customer Experience and Innovation from IE Business School, where she gained advanced knowledge in designing impactful systems for the public sector. This education has significantly shaped her approach to problem-solving and strategic design.
Her diverse background, including 11 years as a synchronised swimmer and an academic foundation in Economics, has given her discipline, analytical thinking, and a collaborative mindset that she brings to her work every day.
Liza is particularly interested in learning how government services are designed globally and applying these insights to Ukraine’s unique context. She welcomes connections with anyone who shares her passion for Service Design or has insights into designing government services.
She also co-hosted the Kyiv Service Jam 2024-2025 and the Government Jam Kyiv 2024-2025.
Service Design Network Ukraine involves people in service design and supports the development of a service design approach in the country. The community builds an expert base of designers through events, while popularizing service design among businesses by running real projects and delivering practical results.
Service design in Ukraine is still in its early stages, with only a small part of the population understanding the importance of holistic design. Service Design Network Ukraine's goal is to bring this understanding to a wider audience across the country.
